(Visit my ABR Resource Page for valuable articles about the home buying process and to learn more about the high level of service my Accredited Buyer's Representative designation allows me to bring to your home buying process.)

If you are looking to purchase a new home, it behooves you to understand two things:

  1. There is a difference between being a customer and a client in a real estate transaction...a big difference.
  2. In Texas, unless you are a client, the best interests of the home seller trump the home buyer...its the law.

One of the main reasons Realtors in Texas are required to share the Information about Brokerage Services disclosure is to inform home buyers of this fact. Specifically the IABS states this towards the bottom of the document in the paragraph that begins "AS A SUBAGENT." Read the disclosure here.

Entering into a written representation agreement with an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) keeps your best interests first and foremost and guarantees you will receive the highest level of service available in the home buying process.
